That’s a Wrap on 2017! The Posts, Pics, Tweets, and Squees

My trip to Scotland and the premiere of Season 3 were my focal points in 2017. The first few months, I geared up for my trip to the Motherland and joined Instagram:

Before jumping on that plane, I wondered What Would Claire Do? I also prepared for Season 3 and my Scotland trip by reading “Voyager” the third book in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series but not without some thoughts.

I FINALLY made it to Scotland and you can check out all the history, left-side-driving, Highland horse riding, and Outlander locations plus a wacky run-in with an Outlander actor here!

In the summer, the cast went to San Diego Comic Con to kick off Season 3 promo and I lost my sh*t in the office when I saw this…

I really need Captain Menzies to steer my ship.

While at SDCC, Episode 1 “The Battle Joined” of Season 3 was screened for fans and I was not happy (fine I was jealous) as I steamed in NYC. I was so unhappy (*ahem* red with envy) I had to call up Lynette Rice at Entertainment Weekly Radio about it.

Good news: Tobias Menzies answered one of my Twitter questions and I’m pretty sure he’s still wondering at night who the brilliant person behind “The Urban Outlander” is. You can see his answer to my Q here and also hear the Entertainment Weekly Radio show.

Also, this is one of my fave pics of the cast from SDCC!

September arrived and Season 3 finally premiered! Will you watch it again during Droughtlander? Join the fun and check out my vlogs as you go along!

After the premiere, Executive Producer Maril Davis did a Twitter Q&A and answered a few of my tweets. She is one of my favorite people who work on the show.

Finally, I snagged an interview with Martin Scott Powell who photographed Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan for Departures Magazine in 2016. Read how this native born Scot began his career and how he shot those beautiful photographs and portraits.

As my industry likes to say, “That’s a Wrap!” Goodbye 2017 and hello 2018! May all our Outlander dreams come true and may Droughtlander be shorter this year. Here’s to the new year and Season 4!

What Outlander events, pics, tweets did you like in 2017?
